At least he and DeLeone would call traps and counters. Their line blocking was out of the 1950s and 1960s, but those were the best running offenses of all time. Think Lombardi Green Bay Packers, Landry's Cowboys with all the pre-snap movement, Ara Parseghian and Ben Schwartzwalder with the unbalanced lines. Bud Wilkinson's powerhouses at Oklahoma,

That's what BC has been about, keeping that kind of bread & butter style of running game alive, without going full wishbone or old fashioned style like an Army or Georgia Tech has done. You can have a consistent running program and still have a balanced offense.
