Notre Dame gets blown out against BC with UK and Indiana coming up their next two games. They could be staring at 3-6. There’s a very good chance Brey is done at Notre Dame.

We need to be ready to react to re-enter the Starling recruitment if Brey gets canned here soon. We still need a plug and play wing/shooter replacement for Buddy next year and Starling is perfect for that role.

Interesting; did Starling sign?

Breys from DC. Does he make a move for Maryland before ND cans him?
No Notre Dame coach would ever leave Notre Dame… (oh, wait).
Actually, the way JB is setting his roster (outside of a big burly skilled non-jumping white kid at center) he looks like he is coaching a Mike Brey ND squad.
Don’t think ND would fire Brey for a down year.

Can’t be in contact once a NLI is signed. That’s the purpose: to stop the recruiting.
I believe you can "like" their social media and talk to their HS and AAU coaches

Disagree. Brey is safe.

Agreed - he gets at least one more season after what he’s done there. A fifth year without a ranked team or substantive return makes that seat pretty hot, though.

Starling made a choice not to play for his hometown team. Doubtful that he would choose to come here even if the ND situation changes.

We were in his final group of schools, not sure why he wouldn’t still consider us
