This is my penance for predicting that Buddy would have more DNPs in conference than made threes.

Per 40 minutes, he is the team's second leading scorer and its best rebounder from the guard position. His 20.9 PER leads the team. His TS% and eFG% are outstanding for a volume shooter.

Honestly can't wait to see Bobby getting some more burn next season. Just looks like he generally knows what he's doing out there already.
Yes, he has looked smooth and athletic in his limited minutes, mostly in mop up time. If Brissett, Dolezaj and Hughes are all back, there probably still won't be many minutes for him, but eventually he should be a solid contributor.

And don't sleep on Q Guerrier. IMO, the jewel of the incoming class, who is criminally underrated due to the Canadian bias.

So even with MD playing mostly center, IMO Bras would still be the 4th forward. OB/Eli/QG

I wonder if JB might consider using Braswell at center. The center position looks incredibly weak to me for next year so far - losing PC and gaining JBA. I think if Bras took a crash course on learning the position all summer long he would beat out JBA and threaten Sid for the backup role at center and get some good PT.

Some good points there. Braswell right now is pretty slight of build, and I'm not sure I'd want to see another undersized guy playing significant minutes in the middle. I'm still hoping Sidibe will be physically capable of staying on the court on a steady basis next season, and that he can fulfill the promise he has shown in flashes during his first two years here.

One thing is clear this year.. If you can help JB isnt sticking with the starter other than battle to work thru issues..

Hes been great in conference play. When we were struggling (and he was) earlier in the year it was pretty clear that a 3 point specialist is what we desperately needed. Buddy emerging and Eli hitting a ton of threes make us dangerous. His D has been very solid as well Buddy knows where to be.

Yeah, Braswell's getting Boeheimed.

On an aside, JB is doing what he has done throughout his very successful tenure, and that is playing, in general, his approx. 7 man rotation. It is and has been, for the most part, his comfort zone through the years. And, by 7 I'm referring to players who play "meaningful" minutes, notably in the 2nd half and when the outcome is still in doubt. Sidibe and Carey are getting a lot of DNP's, or minutes like in the WF rout on Saturday when the game is comfortably in hand. I commented on this back in the preseason on how this would likely play out as the season got into ACC play, down the stretch run, etc., regardless of how deep it may have appeared we were headed into the season.

Yeah, he's not a plus athlete at the guard spot, but seems to be picking up the rotations, and is able to anticipate things better game by game -
that steal and splash at the end of the Wake game being the perfect example:
He knew where that pass was going before it was thrown, and then once he caught it and gathered, he didn't hesitate for an instant - let it fly, dagger 3.

Thought we would play 9 this year, but Carey and Sid haven't been good enough.

Can't really argue with that. However, personally, I'm not that surprised about Sidibe as other than the outlier Pitt game last year, he really didn't show me much. I realize he had (still may have residual affects) of the knee surgery/tendinitis, but I can only make assessments on what I observe. Carey, on the other hand, is somewhat surprising. Being a top 50 recruit, accolades coming in, etc., I thought for sure he'd be a significant contributor at this point in time.

There's Canadian bias, and then there is French Canadian bias. I am not kidding.
