Yeah you're possibly correct but this could be where he could be losing that chance if as is likely this is causing any sense of team turmoil, dissension or distraction. He should have waited until later in the season, if at all, and let it happen naturally playing the new kid more and more. But still start Bryant all year long.

But to symbolically diss your 4 year very successful and unquestionably productive senior starter (unlike nd when it makes more sense) is stupid and shows a lack of perspective with the human angle of sport. hopefully it works to our advantage this weekend.

The freshman is clearly better and Bryant was just a bridge for a year between Watson and the next 3-4 year starter for Clemson. That said, if he goes down then things get interesting

I don't understand this. Lawrence has been better this season. By making the change now, he gives Bryant the ability to transfer. If he waits another game or two he's stuck.
