Syracuse (1-2) vs. Connecticut (2-1) Game Preview
Broadcast
Date: Saturday, September 24th
Game Time: 1:00 pm
Venue: Rentschler Field, East Hartford, CT
Network: CBS Sports Network

Connecticut is one mismanaged finish against Navy away from being 3-0 and one of the hot under-the-radar teams to start the season, and it’s doing it with smoke and mirrors.

The Huskies don’t have the killer defense of the past few seasons. There’s no running game, there’s no real passing attack, and the special teams are no big whoop, but this team is finding ways to magically bend without breaking too often.

It’s catching a few breaks here and there, it’s coming up with timely scores, and it’s doing just enough to win.

Syracuse, on the other hand, has to see just how good it can really be now that it’s playing someone its own size.

There’s no shame in getting ripped up by Louisville, and South Florida – as it turns out – is okay. But the Orange desperately need this as the start of a horrible run of five games away from the Carrier Dome in the next six dates.

The passing game has been great, the defense has been awful, but this week, Dino Babers gets his first win against an FBS team as the head coach as his air show does just enough to force UConn to throw. And that’s when the bad things will start to happen for the Huskies.
