Class of 2014 DB Christian Campbell (AL) Offered

A lot of good things happening in his film... Young man's a hot commodity on the recruiting trail right now... This could be a nice late pickup if we can get him to cancel next week's OV for one with us... Good size and range 6'2 190.

Yes. A lot of late offers. Just got the Minnie offer last week and was visiting Mizzou this weekend. Hopefully he would like to play closer to home and in the ACC.

gotta think we might have arrived to late to be serious players here.

Why? Minnie just offered last week. Besides Cuse just beat them in the Texas Bowl (and the Rodeo Bowl).;)

The big offers are all late offers...

PHENIX CITY, Alabama -- It's only Wednesday, but Christian Campbell has already had quite a week.
The Central-Phenix City safety confirmed a trio of new offers via text message on Wednesday. Boise State and Minnesota extended offers on Monday and Campbell received his first SEC offer today from Missouri.
Last week, Campbell told AL.com his leader was Northern Illinois, followed by Arkansas State and South Alabama. He went on an official visit to Southern Miss last weekend and 247Sports reports he will visit Minnesota this weekend.
The three-star prospect also holds offers from Appalachian State, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, Memphis, South Alabama and UAB.
As a senior at Central in 2013, Campbell recorded 60 tackles, two interceptions and five pass break-ups in eight games. He had 83 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass break-ups in 2012.

Why? Because he is already slated to visit someplace next weekend, and we are out of weekends to get kids to visit before NSD. Thats why...

Don't count out the chance that he visits us instead

He can cancel

Sure he could

Sure, but how likely is it that a team that jumps into a kids recruitment with 10 days to go, steals his last visit from another school (one he is interested in, since he had a flurry of offers, he decided to visit Minny for some reason) and then steals his committment as well?

Can it happen? of course it can, but it would be/have been a whole heck of a lot easier if we started this a week ago.

Wake kinda just did it to us...

He's also not required to commit anywhere on signing day. That's simply the first day a kid can send a written commitment. A lot of these athletes have a flurry of bigger time offers thrown at them last minute. A lot of those may dry up after signing day but some of them won't. We've signed kids in recent years way past the first Wednesday in February.

Minnesota offered on Monday...how much of a relationship could they have? Who knows if either our staff or theres have been in previous contacct. That could go a long way. We should know by Tuesday

Of course he has no more of a relationship with Minnesota than us. But he got a flurry of late offers, and choose to visit there out of anywhere else. He has to have some level of interest there. It's not impossible, but why on Earth are people arguing like this is a routine thing done weekly?

It could happen, but its a whole lot more likely he takes his visit to Minny and then we move on with our lives trying to land either Cordy or Washington or Both. Is it worth it to try? Of course it is, whenever there is a chance, you have to take it, because even if the odds are slim, you might be able to pull it off. Doesn't mean it is something that should be expected to happen though.

with who?
I'm guessing he is talking about Rodney, but they had a relationship with him for quite some time, although the new coach down there obviously just sealed the deal.

OK, big athletic DB. I'm in. CB or safety? As far as switching OVs, would Mr. Campbell prefer vistiting the bowels of the arctic vortex or attend the Duke- SU game which promises the largest collegiate attendance ever? Seems like a no brainer to me.

really? i thought Syracuse was the only school that dealt with extreme cold and snow? hmm who woulda thought

Was hoping we'd hear whether or not Campbell would switch his visit up today. Nothing on the twitter though. Hopefully it stays cold in Minnesota. Could be the first time cold weather helps us.

i think we will know tomorrow

Regardless where he visits this weekend, I think he's pretty much a lock for Mizzou.

Just committed to Penn State. Up to 25 commits for PSU i believe.
