Total BS - Donahue's per game averages in points and goals were higher than Sankey... he should have been 2nd team.

3 out of 4 are CNY gems but only one went to Cuse.

I'm greedy - we should've had them all (or at least 2/3).

For all those who point out the Thompsons' lack of May success, SU would've certainly not missed the FF these past two years w/ Lyle, Rice and Staats/Donahue.

What's the point of this statement? If his academic standing would not allow him to matriculate into SU, why pine for the player? He can't play if he doesn't meet the academic requirements. So, it would have had zero affect on SU's post season success.

The point is that it's a complete crock of shite that SU wouldn't admit him.

Not to offend the alumni who post on these boards, but let's not pretend SU's standards are above a Thompson or two. Especially athletically gifted borderline kids - look at the football team.

I'm not going to name past players but anyone who has encountered many of our supremely talented lax players from the past 25 years knows there were quite a few meatheads who must've barely qualified.

And the gap in academics between Albany & SU is lightyears closer today than it was 10-20 years ago.
