I'm watching three UNC-Va Tech game, which is at halftime. They keep running the same obnoxious commercial over and over again- at least four times in the last 5 minutes. It's the "I AM CHRIS PAUL!!" commercial, (starring a guy who isn't Chris Paul). Ugh, ugh, ugh and ugh! I had to turn the station to something else - anything else.

Fumny that it's the New York Life ACC Tournament. However, most commercials are State Farm Insurance and the tournament is nowhere near NY.

State Farm has FOR YEARS ... had the most annoying ad campaigns ... and they beat you over the head with it like Joe Pesci and his crew in Casino..

And Chris Paul is usually at the center ... going back to that stupid series where he had a twin named cliff Paul ... through the years with harden and the dude from The Office ... and now for some reason .. they have a fake Chris Paul who is actually Alfonso ribiero? I don’t get it ..

Mute works for me-
Satisfying to shut them up, and remain on the channel to not miss when game resumes.

Mute also works for Dickie V. "ENOUGH!" of him also.
I'd prefer State Farm commercials every break to Dickie V doing the game.
Time for Dickie V to call it a career!

I did turn the channel to a bad movie on TCM and went back to check on the basketball game with trepidation. I could have handled the ad better if it only came on occasionally but they were literally playing this thing over and over again.

This is all the more reason to either watch at a bar, or after the game is half-way done, using the DVR feature to skim right over those stupid commercials. The worst is watching ACCN games online having to see commercials repeat numerous times, or just have the stupid ACCN music playing...

The accn music is forever stuck in my head. Always plays 5x louder than the actual game broadcast so I'm violently alerted when there's a break.

i used to be upset about not catching most games live, but the fast-forward option has been a huge time-saver. and sadly, not just for commercials -- the play on the court has often been depressing.

I guess you don’t consciously remember how many ads they run down the stretch in the post season tourneys .. I’d die of alcohol poisoning if I went for a beer even every fourth time they run the ad

Remember early in the year when we complained about M Tailor commercials?

Personally, I did not mind their angel of a spokesperson.
