Welcome to World Crohn's and Colitis Day!

More than 10 million people worldwide live with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. On World IBD Day, we’re asking YOU to join with us to build awareness of these debilitating digestive diseases.

Every patient experiences IBD differently. Location, symptoms, and severity all vary, as do the ways the disease can affect you outside of the gut. And all of this is underscored by the awarenesss, understanding, and care that is available where you live.

IBD has no borders - geographic, physical, or emotional. The diseases can affect anyone across the globe, every part of your body, and every part of your life. That’s why we need come together to take #IBDBeyondBorders on World IBD Day!

Orange Watch: As Osun Osunniyi spruns Syracuse, one big question remains - The Juice Online (the juice; Bierman)

Item: Monday’s announcement by 2018 Connecticut (N.J. native) big man prospect Osun Osunniyi that he had chosen St. Bonaventure over Syracuse (and Georgetown), figures to end the post-season work on finalizing the 2018 SU roster with the April subtraction of highly touted power forward Darius Bazley, and the May addition of under-the-radar power forward Robert Braswell. It’s now eight days and counting until the May 30 deadline for Tyus Battle to inform the NBA if he plans to remain in the draft, or return to the Orange to bring the NCAA Sweet 16 starting five back intact.

With Syracuse not having any player selected in the NBA draft in just four years so far this century, the coaching staff has been used to looking for recruits during the spring late signing period, and even into the summer to fill a roster spot and add depth when others finish their eligibility or leave school early for draft inclusion, or transfer.

The transactions this spring with Matthew Moyer’s transition to Vanderbilt, Bazley’s eye-opening decision to head right to a professional development career in the NBA’s G-League, and the ‘Cuse coaches courting big men and winning over Braswell and his family with a pitch of a “family atmosphere” and time to get stronger and develop, leaves the last step of trying to figure out which way Battle may be leaning with just over a week to decide.

New items at Taste of Syracuse: Boozy ice cream, ramen, soul-food dumplings and more (PS; Weaver)

Start counting calories now. Because on the first two days of June, you're going to want to reward yourself with some of the new foods coming to Taste of Syracuse.

Ramen with homemade noodles and broth. Lobster mac and cheese. There's a dumpling filled with collard greens and mac and cheese. Another inventive creator has put an entire breakfast inside a pancake.

For dessert? Cereal explosion shakes and emoji cake-sicles. Wash it all down with a Bavarian chocolate beer float.

Here's a look at the new vendors at this year's Taste of Syracuse, which runs June 1 and June 2 in and around Clinton Square.

Bonus: Get a look at all the $1 sample items and the full menus for all vendors.

The Birdsong Café
Kristin Hickey has been running NY Almond Company for about 15 years. But more recently, she bought a food truck -- The Birdsong Café. "We're kind of like a mini-Starbucks," she says, with coffee drinks, shakes, frappes and sweet treats.
For the Taste of Syracuse, she's bringing Liege Belgium waffles, cereal explosion shakes and frappes. Her $1 item is lavender lemonade.

The Boozy Wine Ice Cream Bar-lor
The stand will serve ice cream made with wine, beer and cider from Mercer's Dairy and Gilligan's Island in Sherburne, according to Tom Centore, who runs the stand along with Mike McMullen.
The menu includes a chocolate cabernet, lemon prosecco and a double-buzz ice cream float. (It's made with coffee ice cream and a dark stout.)
They're also doing a red-wine float with muddled strawberries and strawberry ice cream. Save room for the Bavarian chocolate beer float.
The $1 item is for eaters of all ages. It's a $1 half-moon cookie from Harrison's Bakery.
This ice cream "barlor" serves treats that mostly for customers who are 21 and older.
