Welcome to Penguin Awareness Day!
World Penguin Day coincides with the annual northward migration of penguins. This happens each year on or around April 25th. Penguins do not fly. Rather, they walk, or waddle their way to and from.
Our research did not uncover any information about the origin of Penguin Awareness Day. And, we found no consensus on the date. Rather, we found several conflicting dates in January. If anyone can provide information about this day, please contact us.
Did you know? Penguins are found in Antarctica, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, the Falkland Islands, and the Galapagos Islands. Elsewhere, they are only found in zoos.

Buffalo Favorite Mighty Taco to Open in Cicero (PS; Moses)
Mighty Taco, the restaurant chain that has a cult-like following in the Buffalo area, plans to open its Cicero eatery on Monday.
The Buffalo-based chain will open its 24th location at 7789 Brewerton Road (also known as 911 N. Main St.) right next door to the CopperTop Tavern. The location, in a former Tim Hortons, will open at 10 a.m. Monday.
Russ Jasulevich, chief operating officer of Mighty Taco, said the restaurant is excited to make its return to the Syracuse area.
The chain had a location for a time at Destiny USA, back when the mall was still known as Carousel Center.
The company announced on social media in October that it would return to the Syracuse area.
Mighty Taco got its start in 1973 with a shop on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo. Its menu features typical Tex-Mex fare, including tacos, burritos and fajitas.
There's also a signature Buffalo chicken-style with blue cheese dressing in a burrito: the Buffito.
Nearly all of the chain's locations are in the Buffalo area, except for two restaurants in Rochester suburbs.
The Cicero location features a dining room and a drive-thru.
Worst Passwords of 2015: 'Star Wars' Terms Join 'qwerty' and '123456' (PS; Axelson)
It's frustrating when websites require long, unique passwords with numbers, upper and lower case letters and special characters. But when you take a look at SplashData's worst passwords of 2015 list, you can see why it's necessary.
The security applications company revealed the list Tuesday. It was generated from lists of more than 2 million passwords leaked during the past year, most of which came from North America and Western Europe, according to CNET.
Passwords that are easy to remember are also easy for cyber criminals to guess, making them among the worst to use for web security. "123456," "password" and "qwerty" all rank among the worst passwords of the year.
Some people try to add more security with passwords like "12345678," "qwertyuiop" and "1qaz2wsx" (the first two columns on a standard keyboard), but building on an already easy-to-guess pattern doesn't add much more security.
"The longer passwords are so simple as to make their extra length virtually worthless as a security measure," SplashData notes in a press release.
