Fred Jackson is done

Would like to thank the Buffalo Bills for participating in the 2011 NFL season. Pick up your parting gift at the door.

Might be the best thing for them... seems the only way they are actually going to see what Spiller could do was if they were forced to give him a heavy workload. The Bills were done anyway.

The Bills might get passed by Miami in the standings this final month. One team playing well the other is injured and not.

Buffalo will live to regret that 6 year deal they gave Fitzpatrick

Stern you have no idea what you are talking about. The Fitzpatrick deal has multiple outs over the years for the team. They could cut him after this season (which they won't) and pay only $9M. After 2012, would have paid only $20M total with no additional hit to the cap. $10M per season is middle of the pack salary for a starter.

Please explain how they will "live to regret" that?!?!

Bills still have as good of a chance as any of the AFC teams fighting for that final #6 seed. Each of those teams (Bills, Jets, Broncos, Chargers, Bengals, Titans) are equally pathetic and will get dominated the on wild card weekend for sure. Only chance that any of them makes a splash in the playoffs is if Matt Leinart fizzles and they end up with a hapless Texans team.

There are at least 7 teams in the NFC (Packers, Bears, 49ers, Saints, Falcons, Giants, Cowboys) that are better than the best the AFC has to offer. I can't remember the AFC being this bad since the days of Joe Montana.

because he isn't worth any of it. Guy is a marginal player. An ordinary player. He isn't a middle of the pack starter worth $10 mill thats why! And it prevents them from getting a franchise QB until Fitz is totally off the roster.

Bills lose today to the Jets their seasons is over. Tough to get a wild card when you can't break a tiebreaker in your own division. Jets schedule is cake as well from here on out

I don't disagree with this. Tough loss today for sure. I still think the #6 seed in the AFC will be 9-7. Right now it looks like the Bengals are sitting very pretty. Still have Pitt and Balt left but that Houston game has gotten infinitely easier due to their QB issues.

Today's Bills/Jets game was the epitome of two bad teams and the less worse one won. Bills had two very good chances to win it on that final drive but couldn't connect. The Stevie Johnson drop over the middle and the pass behind him in the end zone by Fitzpatrick. Gotta get those if you plan on going to the playoffs.

Jets have no shot getting the #6 seed. They'll beat Washington next week and maybe KC but no chance they'll beat Philly or NY Giants. Will probably lose to @ Miami too.

Packers and Saints...sure. But the others better than the best the AFC has to offer?

The Bears aren't going far with Hainey...Forte can probably carry the Bears into the playoffs but how will Cutler look when he returns?

The 49ers have impressed me - but they probably only have 2-3 impressive wins. I would argue the Ravens are probably better here seeing as...well, they just beat the Niners.

Don't have to worry about the Falcons...they can't win big games outside of the Georgia Dome.

The Giants can't run the ball worth a lick right now and that Secondary would be picked apart by Christopher Reeves.

The Cowboys finally found a stable RB in Murray and the Offense is one of the most well rounded now IMO - but how will Romo blow it this season?

I'd say the Patriots are right up there with the Saints and Packers...would be #1 if it weren't for their defensive woes. Pitt is probably better than a few of those other teams you listed. The Offense still seams to get things done under Big Ben and the D doesn't look as old as it did to start the season. Houston was up there...but obviously probably won't survive long without Schaub.
