Hotel recommendation

Will be up in July for to tour the campus with my son. Being more of a Rochester guy I'm not overly familiar with the city of Syracuse.

Looking for hotel that is convient to the campus and that might allow us to walk abitnand get a feel for the campus area.

Any and all tips, words of advise, etc are welcome.

Good stuff so far!

Sheraton is right there as far as campus goes. And it's a nice enough property, though I think the rooms are a little claustrophobic.

Whatever the Genesee Grande is called now is also an easy five-block walk, though I can't speak to the property since its sale and renovation.

The downtown Marriott is walkable for those comfortable walking in cities (15-18-minute walk, uphill) and is a gorgeous property.

Uber from downtown would be cheap, and then you could do Armory Square area for dinner
