How to get out of polls?

All of a sudden I can only create a thread with a poll. How do I get around that.

You probably need to enable compatibility view on your browser. If you are running IE9, you can do it by clicking on the torn piece of paper next to the refresh icon in the browser header. Be sure you are on the site first.

Other versions of IE enable compatibility view in different ways. Google as necessary.
