Was just checking out the RPI standings HERE, and I noticed something pretty remarkable, aside from our #1 ranking and #3 SOS:

The RPI rating for #1 SU is .7042

The RPI rating for #4 MSU is .6484

= a difference of .0558

...

To see another gap that large you would have to extend all the way to Marshall @ #47! In other words, SU is considered equally better than the #4 ranked team Michigan St. ... as Michigan St. is considered better than #47 Marshall. I can't remember ever seeing such a separation of the top teams.

I feel like we would have to lose at least 2 to lose our #1 RPI ranking

Just to keep us honest..ESPNInsider has 'Cuse #1 RPI at .7050 and MSU #4 at .6533...all in same ball park.

What seems to be talking heads criticism of 'Cuse is that we have not played other very strong teams but rather a lot of very good teams...hence no top 10 wins...nor losses. 'Cuse is very strong and this is going to be a very good year...Final Four and NC should be goal.

wow! pretty crazy!
I was checking out the site and what in the world is up with the Pac 12? They are ranked #9 in RPI...HOLY #(*&^$!!! Only 1 team is below 50 and that's Cal at #27
