I think the timing of this is perfect whether it was planned or not. This was a major transition and I think that we’ve reached a point of acceptance. I see Saturday as the day when the keys officially get turned over to Autry and is embraced as the ‘Head Coach’ and Boeheim is officially embraced as the ‘emeritus’ figure to the program.

Helpful we’re playing Louisville too. Spirits should be good after the game.

There really is no scenario where honoring a former coach would be disrespectful, and certainly none when you're talking about someone who had a legendary career.

I think there’s an air of disenchantment with how things declined and how we’re still stuck in that mud. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, but ultimately we need to get fans to a better place to appreciate his whole body of work. I’d wait another couple years.
