JUCO Jaylen Hunter offered and visiting

Interesting tidbit from interview with him on TOS is he is being recruited as a Tackle..
And the staff has told him he has a chance to come in and start at SU...

sounds like we have an expected opening at Starting Left Tackle

I hope the staff is telling every recruit they have a chance to come in and start.

He can catch a pass and actually can block on a screenplay.

From what I have been hearing, there is virtually no chance Pugh comes back.

Fairly certain that's been true for a while.

The guy's been here for four years everyone. It's OK.

Since Hunter and Savage are not visiting until 1/13, does that mean they won't be January enrollees?

Same. He's already had one pretty bad injury, and what happened to Art had a real impact on a lot of our guys. Can't blame him one bit.

Yep, it really is the only move for him. He's going to get drafted in the 1st 2-3 rounds and will get paid. Hard to justify coming back and risking an injury. Good luck mr. mustache!

Considering he was one of only 4 guys they chose to speak at halftime of the Basketball game (and the rest were seniors), I'd say bet the under on the amount of time left of seeing Pugh in Orange.

Would we take both Hunter and Savage?
Yes. Hunter is tackle. Savage a guard.

So with Miller G/C we will have 3 JUCOs on the OLine depth chart?

Yep Robinson, Knapp, Emerich, Palmer, Foy would have a chance to learn more technique and get more physically ready while providing some good depth.

Jaylen Hunter says he and Savage haven't heard a word from SU. So....unless they do they'll line up another visit elsewhere.

They want to attend the same school

Sounds like Adkins is definitely out of the picture.

Crap. Hunter seems like an important recruit given Pugh's departure.

Hopefully Knapp will be ready to begin filling those shoes next season as a RF, but we will be woefully thin at OT behind the starters.

Does anyone know the status on Hunter? I thought I read last week that he would be visiting this coming weekend (2/1 - 2/3).

Orange Nirvana you just beat me to it. I was about to ask the same thing...What happened with Hunter?
I thought he was slated to visit tomorrow along with Poet Thomas and the other 3 guys. (Simeon, Moore, Spearman)

Maybe we got a commitment and he lost his spot?
