North Carolina is a lightning bolt to some ACC schools and if they skate through this cheating scandal plus a weak suspension of this kid, it's not going to help solidify the conference. The school has to show they are responsible for their actions.

I stated even prior to this incident that I didn't want PJ to suit up for us this season. This latest incident just reinforces that opinion. Dude just exhibits a terrible lack of self-control. It will be tough losing our leading scorer from last year but the rest of the team will just have to step up. We'll be fine. Hate it for PJ though, he is ruining a great opportunity for himself.

The Dookies don't have any room to talk (Lance Thomas ring a bell?), and the Staters hate us because, well, they pretty much suck at everything.

You have to understand the dynamic down here. Both UNC and State are part of the UNC system, but State is much easier to get into than UNC. Not saying that State is a bad school, but State fans down here are constantly hearing from UNC fans about how State is a "safety school", or how the one thing that UNC and State students have in common is that they both got into State, etc. Breeds some resentment. Combine that with complete domination by UNC year after year in almost every sport, and you have a serious inferiority complex coming out of Raleigh. I know several State fans who state very clearly that they hate UNC more than they like State. The biggest thing that gets them is the "not our rival" chant...we've been killing them in basketball lately (won something like 14 straight until they broke the streak this year and 19 of the last 21 games against them), and "NOT OUR RIVAL" typically bellows from the student section in the Dean Dome during those games. They can't STAND that...of course, I love it.
