Is going the way of northeast football.

Syracuse=mediocre at best since joining acc
Uconn=losing record in the aac
Georgetown=dumpster fire
St johns=dumpster fire
BC=dumpster fire
Pitt=post greasy haired downward spiral

Thank goodness for Nova. Hopefully this isn't a long term trend.

Think it's hard to judge how good that Rak team could've been with more to play for than just pride

It's because football drove realignment and the basketball programs were thrown into new conferences and have to adjust accordingly. That said, if we weren't going through the NCAA penalties, you could make a case that we'd be doing just fine and Villanova is doing great... UConn is in a garbage conference or would probably be doing okay.

It's worth watching, but I wouldn't panic about it for a little while. There is still a ton of basketball talent coming out of the Northeast.

Interesting observation. I think it is an anomaly, but only time will tell. Lots of crappy coaching in that equation, however.

They were a bubble team before that.

They also had a top 15 recruit/5 star go out before the ACC play with a season ending injury.

The year before that we were 27-5.

The year before doesn't matter, if it did we would have been in this year.

Injuries happen, still wouldn't have taken us off the bubble. We've been a bubble team 3 years in a row and there is no shying away from that.

Villanova, Seton Hall and Providence are all in the tournament.

Structural differences. The northeast produces great basketball players. Structurally Syracuse is in a great position. Crowds, name, conference, geography. Even the Syracuse area produces good to great players.
