there are two possible approaches to the fact that Tanaka hid the chip in his elbow and or the fact that the mighty medical staff at the team's disposal didn't find it. I think the latter is more disturbing considering that he was hurting after he pitched. How many x-rays and or MRIs do they have to take before someone says" O crap" or words to that affect MLB needs to protect itself from international contracts that try to fool the American teams for more money. Its safe to say had the Yankees known about the "chip the negotiations may have lessened the the final number. Of course that final number was arrived at AFTER the Yankees examined him by their doctors. I haven't seen one article erupts about this,surprisingly.
