Ok all you Nostradamus' and Carnacs lets give it a whirl. As usual as in past years I'll keep the thread alive all year giving just props to the best predictor. Also as in years past the winner(s) get the thrill of knowing their #1 along with a night on the town with Kenny2 Penny! Here we go.

Game 1 SU 27 WF 23 After last years exciting seasons end the Domes once again electric to prod the team; the Oranges new higher octane offense sticks it to one of the worst D's again this year.

Game 2 SU 31 RI 17 Not as pretty as many would like but a solid W nonetheless, our young D not there yet, The Denver fulback (AAOM) starts to look like a junior "Bus"

Game 3 USC 38 SU17 USC is still USC dammit even with all their turmoil and we're still not yet old SU, traveling west is never kind to the Orangemen.

Game 4 SU 24 Toledo 23 The informed fan understands the difficulty of this one, the bandwagoners boo abit, but a win is a win

Game 5 SU 27 RU 21 We still have Monkey faces number and and SU keeps the balance of the universe as it should be. We start to see some successful use of Kinder in Wildcat type stuff

Game 6 SU 39 Tulane 20 Coach Marrone feels right back at home in NO shows the kids the sights and they have their best game of the year

Game 7 SU 17 WVU 16 For once the injury bug doesn't nag us and the week of rest previous to this is just gravy. SU is the surprise so far of the college football nation.

Game 8 UL 17 SU 13 After a great season so far Nassib has a bad game, the team finally has a let down after a huge emotional win and the good start to the season. Inevitable.

Game 9 UConn 21 SU20 P has his final piece to his psychological revenge tour tormenting all us who
weren't Pro P, giving schizophrenic delight (sad SU loses, happy for P) to the Pro P folks. Fields a mess, cold weather, cards just not in SU favor for this one.

Game 10 SU 24 USF 23 The mad intense genius that is Scott Shafer game plans to shut down Daniels and the young talent starts to really take root and contribute

Game 11 SU 30 Cincy 24 Ditto USF with Bailey having his best game of the year.

Game 12 Pitt 27 SU 23 Pitts talent is superior and they have a coach who knows how to use it. We used
to own Pitt for years, but now they've turned the table, HOWEVER,

we're 8-4 and going bowling once again (Pinstripe redux)!!, and it's still a very successful season overall all things considered where we'll all be marveling at the programs direction. This sets the tone for the following year where we'll be in the mix fighting for a BCS shot. Lets hear yours ladies and gents...

7 - 5

Lose to USC, Toledo, USF, Cincy, Pitt
Beef O'Brady

Anyone know which folk did the best job picking last year??? I am going to say screw it and go with my 8-4 prediction. We beat every team but USC during the first half of the year... and then go 3-3 down the stretch. With those wins coming against Louisville, USF, and Uconn.

Through my orange colored glasses, I see a 10-3 record. This year, it finally starts to click. We get to finally see what "Multiple" really means. Defense is the pleasant surprise...

Win the Big East. Losses to USC, WVU and the BCS bowl

9-3
Losses: USC, WVU and USF. 2nd in bigeast behind West Virginia.

8-4.

Wins against Wake, Rhode Island, Toledo, Rutgirls, Tulane, UConn, S Florida and Cincy.
Losses to USC, WV, Lville and Pitt.

9-4 following our bowl win!

1. wf: W
2. uri: W
3. usc: L
4. tol W
5. rut W
6. tul W
7. wv L
8. lvl W
9. conn W
10. usf L
11. cin W
12. pitt L

and we get flucked and not get to go the Pinstripe.

20k Syracuse fans will not get to go to a bowl game and a small band of fools will tell us how happy they are that Cuse is in some crappy bowl that will cost the school $$, but since they can drive to they wont understand why the rest of us hate it.

9-3 Pitt win will be a huge surprise because we have serious matchup concerns, but it happens.

Wake Forest: W Their offense is fast, their defense is not.
URI: W
USC: W Finally play a legit game on West Coast..
Toledo: L The big win over USC leads to a let down against a stronger than expected Toledo team.
Rutgers: W
Tulane: W Coach goes down for a Big Easy win
West Virginia: L The Neer's new head coach showcases his offensive prowess, SU shows up but its not enough
Louisville: W Strong is building his program nicely much like Marone, yet we take the win this year.
UConn: W Coach P goes back to his old ways with Deleone, their offensive line is impressive, but we hang on to win a close one
USF: W USF gets a taste of how LOUD the loudhouse can get during a great season, BJ Daniels can't handle the pressure.
Cincy: L Close game but no cigar
Pitt: L tough loss in the last game of the season

7-5 (3-4) in conference. I'm hoping for a similar outcome to last year. I think next year in year 4 we have our first real chance to be a top 25 team and conference title contender.

Wake:W 31-14 Offense shows what it is capable of this season against a weak WF defense. Team dominates in front of electric crowd at the loud house.
URI: w 42-10 No let down here. Young guys show just how bright the future is against an inferior opponent.
USC: L 17-24 Orange travels west and has an impressive showing. Still not enough as they lose a tough one to the trojans.
Toledo: W 28-20 yes, Toledo is tough and will be better than expected, but Coach Marrone will have the squad ready after a tough loss out west.
Rutgers: W 34-17 The orange will continue its dominance of Rutgers in the Marrone era. Always a big game for recruiting, the loud house will be packed to watch SU dismantle the Scarlet Knights.
Tulane: W 21-10 Coach Marrones return trip to the big easy is a success. Team doesnt play as well as expected but does enough to come away with the win.
West Virginia: L 24-28 West Virginia comes to the dome and plays well to avenge last years home loss to the Orange. Sloppy play in this big game will cost Marrones bunch in the end.
Louisville: W 21-17 The young defense comes up big in the end to avenge last years loss to the Cardinals. Louisville takes a step back in year two under Charlie Strong.
Uconn: W 28-17 As much as this game means to Coach P, it will not be enough to propel the Huskies to a win against a Syracuse team that is hitting their stride and in the thick of the conference title race.
USF: W 31-28 The young defense struggles against BJ Daniels and the USF offense, but is able to make a late stop to lead the orange to its second straight victory over the Bulls.
Cincy: L 10-21 Zach Collaros and Co. come into the dome and play their best game of the season. Sloppy play on offense costs the Orange a trip to a BCS game.
Pitt: W 34-21 Syracuse rebounds from last weeks tough loss to Cincinnati and plays their best game of the season to end Pitt's recent dominance of the orange. A late TD pass by Nassib seals 2nd place in the Big East for Syracuse.

OVERALL: 9-3 Year 3 of the Doug Marrone era is a success as the program continues to head in the right direction. Syracuse finishes off the year with another impressive bowl showing and wins the Champs Sports Bowl laying the foundation for a trip to the BCS next year.

Wake Forest: W

Tulane: W
West Virginia: Loss

7-5 (4-3) in conference

If we're going to be a pre-season favorite next year, and I think we will, we need to see some good things this year.

WF-W
URI-W
USC-L in a crazy, trick-play shootout fest
Toledo-L, and right after is when our professional trolls "find" this board. Hey Igor ;)
RU-W
Tulane-W
WV-L
UL-L
UConn-L
USF-W after a board meltdown the week before
UC-W
Pitt-W

7-5 overall, 4-3 Big East. Borderline Top 25 team all year but we don't quite get there.

Here's why everyone loves us going into next year:
Bowl win
Two straight wins over USF, who spends time in the Top 25 after beating ND
Finally get over the hump against Pitt, on the road
Strong finish
The USC game is the most entertaining game of the week, and one of the best all year. Really
Nassib and C. Jones are projected as Offense and Defense conference MVPs next offseason
WV and Pitt don't live up to expectations, fans completely overreact

Wake Forest: Wake Forest's bus driver misplaces his GPS and the team arrives at the Carrier Dome two hours late. SU is already winning 35-0 at this point. Wake gets dressed hurriedly, but by then the damage is done. SU wins 38-17.

URI: Most of the SU football team comes down with food poisoning. This forces walk-on Corey Edsall to start at both QB and punter. No matter, SU wins 21-13.

USC: SU heads west. The coaching staff eats a pre-game lunch at In n' Out Burger. They order a 400 x 400 to share. By the time the game starts, both coordinators are in a food coma. SU comes up short 31-21.

Toledo: Toledo may very well be the favorite to win the MAC. But Greg Robinson is not present, so SU handles the MAC-daddies, 35-24.

Rutgers: On Monday of game week, several Rutgers players pull muscles at the gym. The starting QB burns himself while in a tanning bed, and the defensive backfield opts to stay home and do their laundry. Also, it's Rutgers, so SU wins 38-17.

Tulane: In the Superdome, it's a tight game all the way. SU goes up three very late. Tulane tries to tie the game with a field goal with one second left on the clock. Hakim Warrick comes from out of nowhere to block the kick. This is highly illegal, so Tulane is awarded a first down. They attempt the field goal once again, but it falls just short. SU wins 24-21.

West Virginia: WVU's fans invade the Carrier Dome, toting jars of moonshine and Ziploc bags of pee. Hopped up on the former, they throw the latter at SU's fans, who evacuate the building. With no SU fans in the house, the Orange lose, 35-20.

Louisville: Before the game, Louisville AD Tom Jurich anounces that starting in 2012, Louisville will host the inaugural "Crappy Pizza Chain Bowl." This hypes up the UL crowd and players, leading them to beat SU, 30-10.

UConn: UConn runs the option to the short side time after time. They finally score a touchdown, and attempt the PAT after using the swinging gate to fool nobody. SU wins 24-7.

USF: The Bulls' Florida speed meets SU's New York Empire Stateishness. Speed kills. USF wins 28-14.

Cincy: The visitors bring their live Bearcat mascot to the Dome. It is startled by the constant jingling of keys, and escapes into the city of Syracuse. Nobody is hurt, but half of the Cincy team leaves the Dome to pursue. SU wins 28-17.

Pittsburgh: Ben Roethlisberger throws for 427 yards, while Franco Harris scores two touchdowns. Pitt wins 38-17.
Pinstripe Bowl: SU meets Big XII rep Texas A&M in Yankee Stadium. Retired Yankees Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada flip the ceremonial coin. No Big XII officials attend due to A&M leaving them high and dry. SU wins 28-27.

I like Frozen's and can see some of that happening, lol.

Wake Forest: W
URI: W
USC: Loss
Toledo: W - People who think we lose this game have lost their mind
Rutgers: W
Tulane: W
West Virginia: Loss - but it's close
Louisville: W - again, another game I would be surprised if we lost
UConn: W - same as UofL
USF: W
Cincy: W
Pitt: Loss - BE Championship up for grabs.

9-3 says my gut, my heart says 12-0.

lose to USC, WVU, Louisville, USF and Pitt

biggest game of the year is against UConn. i think it's likely to be the game that decides whether there's a big slide at the end of the year. Start out 5-1, then it gets interesting. hopefully it doesn't end up like that time i tried colgate toothpaste, the one with tartar control, that made me feel like a piece of ****

lose to pitt wva usf rutgers------win all the rest in close games ---su23-usc21
