The ACC and Big Ten make up the top six teams in the Inside Lacrosse Men’s DI Media Poll for Week 5.
Penn State’s climb continues, with the Nittany Lions into the Top 5 after taking down Cornell. The Big Red fall back to seventh, just ahead of Ivy foe Yale.
Virginia and Notre Dame remain the clear 1-2, and Duke is up to No. 3 after its dismantling of Loyola.
Villanova was the biggest riser, moving up to No. 9. The Wildcats have five wins — including one over the Nittany Lions. They took down Penn and Drexel (which in turn knocked off Saint Joseph’s) at the Philly Four Lacrosse Classic this week.
Michigan and Boston U entered the poll this week. With the Wolverines’ entrance into the poll, every Big Ten team is ranked.
