Sophomore wide receiver Darrian McNeal is no longer a member of the Oregon football program.
McNeal, who caught two passes for 10 yards and rushed for 21 yards as a true freshman, is no longer enrolled at the university, a UO spokesperson confirmed Wednesday afternoon.
ScoopDuck.com was the first to report on McNeal's departure.
McNeal was a three-star prospect recruited out of Florida and appeared in six games for the Ducks in 2017. He was not listed as one of Oregon's top six receivers when the Ducks released a depth chart prior to the start of spring practice.
Originally verballed to Arizona, changed his mind and was the first recruit Taggert landed when he ran off to Oregon. I would assume FSU could have him if they want him but I am not sure he is good enough for that program. Also, in the linked article, his mom expressed concern over him going to college too close to home. Tallahassee is a lot further than Tampa, not sure if those concerns would still apply.
