He has 11 games played with just two goals and no assists while scooping up three groundballs. The Orange flirted with putting Evans on defensive midfield. It was a freshman year to forget for No. 22. Hit the reset button. Evans has too much talent not to be in Cuse's top six middies. "With the departure of Scott Loy, Billy Ward, and Derek Maltz from the Syracuse midfield Evans needs to step up and being an initiator at the midfield who can produce in the 30 point range,” says Carcaterra. "Evans was used as a short stick defensive midfielder a year ago, and experiment that was put in place to get him on the field. Anything short of him being a big playmaker won't cut it in 2015. "
