3. Syracuse — Carolina had not hosted the Orange at Fetzer Field since March 6, 1993, when the Tar Heels prevailed 14-10. It was a rivalry that got shelved because of bad sportsmanship. ‘Cuse lost 17-15 on the grass and is looking vulnerable for the first time all year. Suddenly, Syracuse can’t play defense. Surrendering 42 goals in their last three games is an ugly sign. They now have a goalie controversy to figure out. Randy Staats registered three assists in his return to the Orange lineup. Staats missed the previous three games with a knee injury. The Orange are back in action at the Carrier Dome for their regular-season home finale on Tuesday, April 14 against Central New York rival Hobart. Face-off is at 7 p.m
