I thought tryouts weren't until June 12-13. Unless these guys were "guaranteed" spots.

I found it a little peculiar in that way, when they announced the DC squad a few weeks back.

NY high schools haven't even finished the regular season yet. Playoffs usually run until early June.

When you follow the link on this X,

You get to a page that just shows sign-up for tryouts on the Command (2027-2028) and Burn (2026) teams in D.C.

So perhaps they are just naming the Highlight (2025) teams, and holding tryouts for the two other levels.

There we no tryouts this year. They just picked the teams, much like they have in the past, this time they didn't do the money grab.

No tryouts for the 2025s (Highlight Division). These are all invited squads. 2026s and 2027s have to tryout

Anyone paying for this?

Not paying for it, but do have a workaround.

Xanders thinks that Anderson will be an instant impact player from day one. He thinks he should play attack, but says that’s his opinion.

He sounds very high on the long poles, Bologino, Stephens and Ryan. He wonders if Stephens could start down low from day one. Also thinks that Mike Grace will start at LSM.

It sounds like after that he thinks the rest of the class will be depth pieces, at least for this year. He mentions McIntee and O’Farrell by name but thinks it will be tough for them to get playing time early on given what’s in front of them. Also mentions Angelo and Ferguson as good players.

Mostly sounds like it’s all about Anderson and the long poles. At least for next year.
