LOL, surprised he asked this question the answer is pretty obvious. Those teams who don't make it to the B10 or assuming there is no ACC lite with leftover schools who have lax teams will likely join a different conference. I assume UVA, UNC and ND would be bound for the B10 if and when the ACC implodes. SU will go back to being an independent or back to the Big East.

Only hurts us if there is a true nightmare scenario nosedive in the money making sports and that leads to less emphasis on sports as a whole at SU. Could make it a less appealing environment for recruits and less resources given to lax would also of course have a negative effect if that ever happened. Switching to a conference with significantly weaker lacrosse competition could lead to less interest from recruits. A lot of bad things would have to happen in a certain way in cuse sports as a whole for it to be a serious negative IMO.

That would leave Duke alone.. maybe couple them both up to the Big East

Ya a lot of unknowns right now. B10 has had eyes on UVA and UNC for awhile and you assume ND would follow. SU and Dukes futures are a bit more unknown unfortunately (for SU anyway). That said the BE would be thrilled to get SU back and obviously SU could go back to its independent history.

Yeah, I was just curious if there was any truth to it. Hadn't heard anything like this before.

Not safe to assume that. There's a lot of animosity between ND and the B1G. The ND fans were really not happy when their hockey teams were forced to play in the B1G because of the regionalization of the conferences in that sport. ND will hold onto independence for as long as they can, maybe even when it's no longer feasible.

Would be cool to have SU and Duke in the BE!

And just fold up the football programs….right?
'Folding' the footbal programs would not be cool, but from a basketball persepctive, it could be interesting.

But, if Taco Muncher is correct and Clemson, Miami, UVA, VT, NC State, UNC, and FSU somehow think they deserve more money from the ACC than Syracuse, Duke, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, etc, and the ACC submits to this request, what are we going to do then?

watch the games? you and they would never notice the difference, other than the squawking.

Hopefully, UMd would be able to block UVa from joining the Big given all the crap UVa gave UMd when UMd moved to the Big.

I know your probably half joking but UVA and UNC are the crown jewels the B10 has wanted for decades.

I don't know about the crown jewels, given that football is king, but the Big would probably be willing to have them.

They've been rumored as the top targets for years
