Can’t we all find a mutual agreement? If SU doesn’t want to extend and Dino doesn’t want to really be here, why go through the motions and make him come back next year? He retires to save face and SU pays 2/3rds what they owe him. It is a win win.

You are assuming he doesn't want to come back. I don't know that. If he doesn't come back (fired) we pay him what he has coming (what we agreed to pay him) and move on. That is the most likely option at this point.
