Broken fingers? Hand? Anyone know what a cast like this would be for?

Damn, that doesn't look minor. Doesn't appear to be a hard cast though. Possibly serious dislocation.

Not a hard cast so I would very much doubt a broken hand. Looks like middle finger is immobilized. He could have some fun with that.

I would guess ring finger dislocated which is why it's taped between the other 2. He doesn't look too worried though.

If it's a broken finger they would probably put it in a splint and tape the adjoining fingers together immobilizing it. At least that is what the picturet looks like to me.

he's a DB, he doesn't need to catch. My guess is if it was game time he would be playing

Means Eskridge and McFarlane get more reps. Keeps him from getting hurt worse.

If we're splitting camps on this one, put me in the camp that likes interceptions.

With out a doubt I would take a turnover. But I would also take a non-catching shamarko over any other saftey we have on the roster. Besides I always saw shamarko as a big hitting run stopper instead of a coverage guy. Just the way i see it.

Shamarko has never had an interception in his career, so I doubt this changes very much.

Looks like 1 or more broken fingers, probably the middle one, with tendon or ligament damage.

Not if they had to reattach a tendon.

Damage doesn't have to mean surgery.

Shamarko's a senior, and does not need to catch a la a WR.

If it were game day tomorrow, he would be suited up. No question in my mind.

This could also just be a ton of precaution. Let's not jump to conclusions based upon a photo.

Are we sure this is really Shamarko? Couldn't it be a look-alike disguised as Shamarko to throw Northwestern off?

"Is that Danny Tartabull? I'd love to shake his hand, but I've got this cast!"
