Now that is what we call a wicked good hire.
There was a quote attributed to Bam that said after Pro Day, if things didn't work out, Shy wanted to go back and finish his degree. I don't know if that happened.Did Shy ever finish his degree? I really hope so. I remember Bam said things came down to an internship.
Don't you have to have a degree to teach/coach?There was a quote attributed to Bam that said after Pro Day, if things didn't work out, Shy wanted to go back and finish his degree. I don't know if that happened.

Bam is cool as hell tooAlways a HUGE Shy fan. What a huge career move this is for him. Congrats to Shy, Bam and the fam!!
I don’t know if that is true for Massachusetts.Yeah, that answers our Q about whether he got his degree or not.
Congrats Shy!!
BAM, think I speak for everyone when I say don't be a stranger here and keep us in the loop about Shy's journey (and any other SU alum he might be in touch with). To answer the question he has been taking classes to finish his degree. He hasn’t finished yet. He may transfer his credits now to umass for his degree just to speed it up. He would have to return to Syracuse to live there and attend school according to his Syracuse counselor so right now that is on hold. He is working at the high school as a teachers assistant with troubled teens and special needs kids. He coached linebackers and running backs the last two years. This is a great opportunity for him. Excited and nervous for him lol. Hopefully this will be a big first step to his coaching career! Thanks everyone for the support!
