Shy Cullen new Head Football Coach at Lowell HS

Great for him and it's what the program needs to see more of happen.

If guys aren't making the league we need guys who had good experiences here entering the coaching and youth program ranks in our recruiting areas.

That's the one thing you see a lot of from competitor programs. They have former players dotted all over the place at the high school and 7v7 levels.

We have a handful that come to mind.

To answer the question he has been taking classes to finish his degree. He hasn’t finished yet. He may transfer his credits now to umass for his degree just to speed it up. He would have to return to Syracuse to live there and attend school according to his Syracuse counselor so right now that is on hold. He is working at the high school as a teachers assistant with troubled teens and special needs kids. He coached linebackers and running backs the last two years. This is a great opportunity for him. Excited and nervous for him lol. Hopefully this will be a big first step to his coaching career! Thanks everyone for the support!

BAM, think I speak for everyone when I say don't be a stranger here and keep us in the loop about Shy's journey (and any other SU alum he might be in touch with).
