The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

As a latecomer to this thread, Rutgers has a student-athlete named Nadir who's been arrested and has some academic dishonesty in his background? And, again, his name is Nadir?

Short of picking up English as a second language, his parents have to be exceedingly stupid. You couldn't write this stuff.

I specifically remember a poster who had no clue that nadir was also a noun and not just an southwest Asia centric name, back when we were recruiting him. He/she got all up in a huff because they thought that his name was being mocked due to racial/religious animus. I'd link to the thread, but I don't feel the need to dredge the past. Just a reminder that while it is plain to many what the intent of your post was, some may see it in another way (especially if they are not as well read or have an expanded vocabulary at their ready).

You're still The Man, Coach.

Who would ever think that Rutgers would try to out-thug Miami? Gotta salute the B1G for drafting the only school that could embarrass the whole conference on and off the field simultaneously. Aren't they glad they are "in NYC" now? NYC never gave Rutgers a first thought, let alone a second thought and now they bring complete derision from the only reason they are in the B1G! Truth, once again, is stranger than fiction.

I'm not laughing at Rutgers again until we officially purge the bad mojo. We may not be a dumpster fire but there's smoke on the hill. We're coming off a 3-9 season where our best unit was almost completely lost to graduation. Our best recruit just decommited, our coach is on every single publication 'hot-seat' and the only people who predicted us to not finish last in the Atlantic, picked us to finish 2nd last. Oh yeah we're on probation for the next 5 years to boot. Rutgers is a mess but apparently our house might be made of glass. Just in case...no stones for me. When we beat LSU, I'll be ripping Rutgers with the rest of you.
What if they are our only loss?

The fact that Patrice Rene chose Rutgers says a lot about Patrice Rene, none of it good. He spent enough time with his future team mates to know what they were about.

Well there is a pretty good chance that he will be wearing orange somewhere down the road.

When did Rutgers coach Kyle Flood know 5 of his players faced serious charges?

But a person close to Flood told NJ Advance Media late Thursday night that Flood was aware that an incident involving his players had taken place in April but he "didn't know the depth of what it was.''

But a person close to Rutgers' fourth-year coach told NJ Advance Media late Thursday night that Flood "did the right thing when he found out there was an issue, alerting athletics (officials) within 24 hours.''
