SI has an excellent article on Crispus Attacks High School in Indianapolis that gave the world Oscar Robertson. It was said to have been created by the KKK< which practically ruled Indian at the time, to enable segregation. The black students with the black teachers were supposed to fail but they did the exact opposite.
