5/17/53 Mickey Mantle This was a month after Mickey hit his famous 565 foot home run in Washington. He come son at the 17:30 mark. Mickey keeps answering "Yep" and doesn't get by the first questioner, Bennett Cerf, who has been waiting for him to be on the show for 8 weeks, (which would have started before the baseball season began). It's interesting to see Mickey's relative height compared to the men on the panel.

Mickey had also been on IGAS on 10/2/52 but that episode is lost. Mickey appeared on another quiz show of the time, something called "The Name's the Same, where the guest was supposed to say that he always wanted to be somebody else and the panel guesses who it was. Mickey chose Prince Philip, supposedly. I strongly suspect that he was told to say that. His enthusiasm for the game is, to say the least, limited.
