Pitcher Jenna Caira on 2012 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List
The team will play 26 games in Arizona, California & Florida to start the season. I was told that their home opener, a double header, on Saturday March 24 against Colgate & Canisius will be played in the Carrier Dome and televised by Time Warner.
This years team is picked to finish 2nd in the Big East behind DePaul and was ranked #26 nationally by two polls. The girls are very well schooled in the fundamentals and are a lot of fun to watch. Jen Caira has great stuff on the mound and Morgan Nandin is All American caliber at shortstop. Her dad, Bob played for the Syracuse Chiefs so you know she is from good stock.
Do yourself a favor, check them out, I guarantee you will be hooked.
