Pistol Pete was a special player, we'll never see one like him again.
Check out some footage of the Pistol on youtube. Incredible. There is one game where dropped 68 on Walt Frazier and the Knicks. I'd say maybe 3-4 made baskets at the most hit the rim. He averaged 44 points a game in college but someone did a study and concluded he might have averaged nearly 55 a game if they had the three point shot back then.
