Expecting this team to rebound is lunacy.

The bigger issue is Buddy and Cole missing shots and Joe giving away 2-3 possessions without being presssured.

Every offensive possession with this team hs to be productive.

Nova switched on every single ball screen...

We don't have the guard play to run on ball screens. I'd like to see more screening away - weakside screening, shooters curling off down screens and vacating. Jesse can post up if the D switches on those screens. That entry pass would be easier than hitting him on rolls in traffic.

JB is clearly trying to get Jesse more touches. If this offense is to get better, he is a big part of the answer.

Haven't fed the post since Rakeem. And Boeheim only allowed that because there was no other option. We are doomed to this ridiculous iso offense until retirement.

The biggest miss tonight was not posting Cole like we did Jimmy. Nova switched quickly out to him and with Buddy being way off they just let Buddy do his thing. We have 3 guys who can shoot over their defender in the post. We may have shot even more 3s than needed this game and we didn't shoot that many tbh.

this was the most concerted effort to get the ball to Jesse/post that we have seen. that was literally the play call the first 3 times down the court. if Jesse was stronger, it would have been very effective.

When our shooters aren’t making shots JB has to get them rest and have them watch a little. There is no reason for a 3-15 Buddy needs to play 38 minutes and a 2-7 Cole needs to play 39. If you aren’t going to use your bench in games like this when our shooters are so off then what’s the point? If JB “can’t trust his bench” again then that is on him recruit or develop better

Benny was literally backing away from the basket to let everyone else get dirty. He’s athletic but he doesn’t actually use his athleticism.

Terrible in his 2 minutes lol. In those 2 minutes he had 1 rebound which is only 1 less that jimmy had in 38 minutes while we got blasted on the glass all night.

Benny is struggling to adapt and with his confidence. He is very talented - hoping he puts it all together at some point. he could be another one of those players who looks like a different player after a year or 2 in the program. hope he hangs in there

He’s our best bench player right now, but it’s only because the other two actively hurt us. He’s just our typical big man that’s only out there to serve as an occasional screener and hope he survives defensively until Jesse can come back in.

it's tough to swing it around when defenders are not playing off their man in help position. to my eye, we need to have constant off ball motion and screening. Buddy, Joe and Jimmy should never be standing still when they don't have the ball.

Right- this is all part of it. I was oversimplifying but the point still stands in terms of getting looks vs that style of defense.

Nova was content to give up 2s all night or put someone on the FT line vs allowing open 3s. Thus we have to work harder to get those looks.
