- J just saw Joe Andressen batter his way to victory against my beloved CNS Northstars. We seemed to be in control of the game and then Joe took over and bashed his way through our defense for three straight scoring drives and the Northstars’ great season ended. He even threw a touchdown pass because CNS had all 11 players within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage to stop his runs. it was demoralizing. Now here comes BC with 240 A. J. Dillon who ran for 272 yards and $TDs in 45-42 win over Louisville and has added 149, 196 and 200 yards games since then. Just like in a horror movie sequel –IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN ALL OVER AGAIN!
- Dino’s going to play Rex Culpepper over Zach Mahoney because Zach is a senior and he want’s Culpepper to get game experience. The problem is he stinks. He has an awkward, almost side-arm throwing motion. And he’s going up against a very good Boston College secondary that had intercepted 17 passes. At least Mahoney has had some good games, (or halves). Culpepper has yet to impress anybody. We can’t stop them and we can’t move the ball…a bad combination for SU.
- We have gone 7 games in a row without a defensive turnover. Will we make it 8?
- Boston College is already what we want to be – a bowl team. In fact, they were last year, while we were in last place, which is where we are now. They are still another school that is ahead of us in their development. It will take another year or two to put as much talent on the field as they are.
