- Because we are better than they are and our strengths fit in right next to their weaknesses. Both teams can pass the ball (274 yards to 232), but they can’t run it, (113) and we can (204). The fact that we don’t have to worry about their rushing attack will allow the line to focus on pressuring the backfield and they are very good at it. We have only 27 sacks, (almost all from the line) but 62 tackles for a loss and many hurries. Louisville can’t pressure the backfield at all. They have only 8 sacks and 31 tackles for a loss. We should be able to run plays the way they were diagrammed on a black board. That’s why we are +12 on turnovers and they are -11. Then there are our special teams, which give us an advantage of more than 100 yards a game in field position.

- They’ve given up a respectable 183 yards per game on passes but that’s deciding: because they give up 277 yards a game running the ball, other teams don’t pass a lot against them and only when they want to. The Cardinal’s opposition has thrown 17 TD passes to 9 for them on 50 fewer throws with 9 fewer interceptions. They are averaging 8.5 yards per attempt and 13.4 per completion vs. 6/5/12.0. The opposition is also completing 6 3% of their passes to 54%. So, no Louisville doesn’t really have an advantage in the passing.

- Comparative scores: We beat Florida State 30-7. They lost to them 24-28. We beat Wake Forest 41-24. They lost to them 35-56. We lost to Clemson 23-27. They lost to them 16-77.

- Maybe the biggest stat of all: There’s a rumor that 20 Louisville players have decided to transfer. This team has quit. All we have to do is jump on them and keep the foot on the gas pedal and take off.

Go to the 49 minute mark:
7-2 and 2+ to do!

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!
