Simple question. Are there any ethics, morals, expectations etc., involved? Would JB expect Hop to not use Syracuse recruiting channels to benefit UW? Will anyone get mad if they see Hop in Glens Falls during state championships for instance? I know that all recruits are fair game, but I'm just curious what people think about this.

Hope Boeheim gives him a swirly if he comes 'round this playground.

Ahhh, it's a long, long way from the East Coast to Seattle.

How many players have we ever signed from Washington, Oregon or Northern California?

Tim Welsh, Allen Griffin and Louie Orr, I'm sure, recruited some of the same guys as SU.

Hop will pound the West Coast. Jason Hart is a Cali recruiter. The Conway guy is a Seattle recruiter and it looks like Hop will keep him at Washington if he wants to stay. Tim O'Toole isn't really a great recruiter but even he has been an ass't at cal for the last few years. Washington will be recruiting out west.

About 2012, the hotest guard prospect in the nation (Tony Wroten) from Seattle, told everyone he wanted to come play at SU. His uncle was an old star with the Knicks and the kid wanted to play BE and the Garden. JB never offered him a scholarship, (don't know why), so he went to UW. He's now playing in the NBA.

To be fair, we had Scoop, Triche, Waiters, and MCW in the backcourt that year. If it boiled down to choosing MCW over Wroten(can't remember if it did) I'm ok with that choice.

Wroten is not currently in the NBA. He was putting up decent numbers on the Sixers a few years ago, and then he tore his ACL. He hasn't seemed to fully recover from it, because he's barely played any games in the league since and hasn't played any this season.
