8/7/60 Arnold Palmer Arnie is the first guest. The panel doesn’t have to wear blindfold – Arnie hadn’t done all those commercials yet, even though he’d won two Masters and the US Open. But he does sign in as “Mr. X”. Bennett Cerf asks him how come he got a double-bogey in the PGA, (which he never did win), Arnie just says it was a “bad hole”.

Just a side note: Watching Arnie at the ceremonial start of the Masters todaywas very concerning. He didn't look too good. He couldn't drive a ball off, as he had in past years. He had to just sit in a chair and watch, although he got up to acknowledge applause with much effort. He looked thin in the face. His voice seemed cracked. He looked very different than in those Zarelto commercials. it seems that at age 86 he's had a sudden down turn in his health.

But here he is in the prime of life at age 30.

This is the first of a six part U-Tube clip of a 1960 promotional film telling the story of the Masters that year, when Arnie won for the second time:

The second guest looks nothing like the King of Pop.
