WML Project: Navy football

9/6/59 Navy Coach Wayne Hardin. He’d just been hired. He’d have a date with the SU national championship team on 10/10, losing 6-32 but would go on to coach Navy’s only Heisman Trophy winners, Joe Bellino and Roger Staubach. Later he would become the coach at Temple and pull him team of the field in the opening season of the Carrier Dome after his players got into a fight with the fans, (even hurling a bench into the stands). He seems like a nice enough guy here.(He’s the first guest.)

On 12/26/60 Joe Matalavage the Navy football captain appears on TTT just before his team lost to Missouri in the Orange Bowl. He appears with the Orange Bowl Queen, (and the three women are gorgeous).
