WML Project: Raymond Berry

11/9/58 Raymond Berry, who’s just played a game at Yankee Stadium. A regular season game won by the Giants, 21-24 when Unitas was injured and George Shaw had to take over at QB for the Colts. Bennett Cerf calls the Colt’s QB “Unit-Tass”. The famous overtime championship game would be played 12/28/58.


Ray comes on at the 18:50 mark. With those glasses,, he looks like Clark Kent.

I believe this is a combination of the original radio broadcast with filmed images and kinoscopes. There are other NFL championship games from this period that are done the same way on You-Tube. 1956 is the earliest I've seen.
