Zone Only 94% of the Year?

Did I miss a discussion of the stat during the broadcast that said SU played a zone defense 94% of the year, the 2nd highest percentage in college basketball. I assume the 6% is when SU presses and that is not considered a zone? I don't remember SU playing any other defense all year.

Yeah, press and transition I think. And people say Jim doesn't switch up defenses. pshhhh

That would be an average of 1.5+/- minutes of press per game. Highly doubtful considering we only press when down big numbers (which was relatively few minutes this year). Probably closer to 98% zone. I doubt we have more than 20 minutes of total press all year.

The 6% is when we don't play defense at all.
