With all the comments about old couching, stale offense, etc, one thing can't be denied. Poor shooting especially from the 2 lines, ft and 3 pt. 22-34 from the ft doesn't cut including front end of 1+1. Making a couple more before the last 2 minutes makes a big difference how those last 2 are played. Bissett 1/3, Battle 11/15 should have done better. AND you can't blame the offensive scheme for that. 8/22 from the arc says it all. Won't even go into how the supposed 2nd best player goes 3/11! At least Battle got his points while going 5/14.

Yeah the offense is bad but the players still have to make shots, like uncontested ft!

Free throws are the last thing that lost us this game. Zero identity, continuity, and flow on offense and a lack of interior post defense and perimeter pressure from the top of the zone would be bigger issues.

I disagree strongly with this. Better FT shooting would have made a pretty big difference, considering how much we struggled to score.

The three things I mentioned were clearly more significant.

I don't disagree that those things are significant. I'm just saying despite those things better shooting before the 2 minute mark would have made a HUGE difference. Not being sarcastic but when was the last game the Bissett was the leader and difference maker. And he considered going in the draft.

Brissett has been all but invisible this season. I agree with you.

No they were at the top we missed way too many.

We still play with no purpose. It’s hard to tell what our identity is after ten games. Nothing is designed to get Hughes shots.

Really - missing about 15 points from the ft line doesn't count for anything and isn't critical?

To be fair, I attended the game and while I saw the missed free throws, wasn’t tracking them. The issues I stated IMO are less game to game issues than free throw disparity and more larger picture, long term issues.
