Athletic Department is a mess? What? SU has some of the best non-revenue sports teams in the NCAA, not just the ACC. Sure, there may be some small stuff happening with JB and the boys, but that's relatively minor in the grand scheme of things.

No immediate concerns, plus there have been too many changes this season (loss of best QB, new OC, patch-work OL) to really genuinely get a feel for Shafe. An easier schedule, a healthy team and some stability in the coaching staff, and I think SU has a very good team next year.

Terrible question with a simple answer: Yes.

If you think SU isn't after some of the big boys, you don't pay attention to recruiting -- plain and simple.

They were forced into it, but Everyone anointing Long as the second coming was way too soon. Hunt is the best QB on the team. The coaches knew that. He didn't have Lester calling his plays. Can't wait for him to come back. He adds much more to the offense than anyone else on the roster.

Call me crazy, but I really liked what Marrone's offensive scheme. I'm not sure what it would have morphed into with what would have come recruiting-wise, it seems as if he was really open to letting a QB who has some legs run. Nassib wasn't a great runner, but still got to take the ball 5-6...

Winston has the help of some of the best athletes in the country lining up 1v1 most snaps, too. That first TD, where there was a blown coverage, was still a great throw by Jameis. Guy didn't have to slow down to catch it; still hit him in stride. On the football field, he's the real deal.
