The top 7 teams in the AP poll played 7 unranked teams this weekend. Here are the results

Seton Hall 60 at #1 Villanova 62 (in progress)
#3 Purdue 78 at Rutgers 76
#4 Duke 77 at St. John's 81
#5 Michigan St 63 at Indiana 60
Georgetown 91 at #6 Xavier 96 (OT)
Oklahoma St 84 at #7 Kansas 79

So in those 6 games, the unranked teams either won, went to OT, or loss by 3 points or less.

And then
#2 Virginia 59 vs Syracuse 44

Don't know if this means anything much, other then it is disappointing to see other schools in down years (except Seton Hall) put in good games against the others, and we just crapped the bed.

And maybe it solidifies that Virginia is for real.

Can’t watch that game in Syracuse. Spectrum has pulled Fox (ch8) off the air due to contract disputes and the money Fox wants.

While Villanova and Virginia are the clear #1 and #2 in the AP Poll, if you had to bet on the NCAA tournament as of now would they be in your top 3 picks?

My guess would be no.
