welcome back, #43...you finally played well in a big game. Seriously, hope this serves as a confidence booster and he is a weapon off the bench in Big East play and beyond. We'll need him in at least a handful of games.

James was huge tonight. Seems
like he finally broke through in a big spot

he had a great run in the first half but was back to forcing it in the second.

was better than previous games against decent opponents though

James has actually done a nice job without scoring recently and JB has kept in in the rotation with decent minutes. It was GREAT to see him knock down those three's- all against man I think too. Would've loved to see him drain one in the second half. I get the feeling he just needs a full solid game (against legit teams which NC State is) to begin to reach his potential. He had it for half a game tonight so that's a start.

He did a lot of good things in this game: played d, rebounded, and shot a few big ones.

as much as i loved seeing him hit those 3s..i gotta say he was also very active on d and deflected a couple passes which was great to see

He also showed some handle after he got the ball in the backcourt

I think that is the type of matchup we'll see him play a bigger role in -- one where the opponent is a bit soft defensively in general, or at least doesn't really have an answer for his particular skill set. Nothing wrong with that. Otherwise it's probably a handful of minutes where he'll be mostly judged on his rebounding and defense.

James may be the difference between leaving the tournament early and making a big run. I think he is the X factor.

This was his perfect setting. NCS has no depth. They could not extend their D. He hit them where it hurt, downtown baby.

He also had a nice steal at the end of the first half that prevented an easy dunk.

The fact that two of his threes were with hands in his face was huge. If James plays well, we're not going to lose many games.
