So it took about 12 years from start of investigations/sactions back in 1991 until we started recruiting well again.

we're at the highest recruiting level we've been at for a while.

How do we spin this so that it doesn't affect recruiting? Or can we?

We have our own "Syracuse" Bar on the ESPN ticker on TV now... Ugh

It's going to take a decade or more. I have said it before: the kids we need to commit here can go to any university in the country. WHY in the world would they decide to come to a place with this reputation? Give me a legit reason? Especially when we will have a rookie head coach. Maybe not this year, but within 5 years. The entire program is at huge risk of being discredited to the very core. We very likely will be Maryland before 2015. Enjoy this year.

As long as this doesn't go beyond Bernie you throw the dumb and his freakshow wife under the bus (rightfully so) and you move on. At that point you have the distance - other than saying "former Syracuse Assistant" the references to the school will be minimal.

Hopkins was going to be head coach eventually. He will be awesome to. How about we just win a ship this year it will offset all this drama.

Wow - i'd hate to be your longtime best friend. Until everything comes out if/when he's convicted of being a total lunatic creep, I'd stay silent. That's what I'd do if a couple of my friend's of 30 years (I'm younger) were under investigation...
