Those are good numbers and context, but I think the main thing people are disappointed by - at least I know I am - is that at this point in our program's trajectory I don't want to have to suffer through 2 years of blah to get the one year of "hey that was pretty darned good".  Maybe I am not seeing the big national picture correctly, but it seems that other teams start RF or SO QB's and they make generally good decisions, or at least make the bread and butter throws.  Why does it take us so gosh danged long to get the same thing that other middle-of-the-road teams do?  I really am tired of it.

I've thought about this the last few days, and I think we would be better off trying to get QB's from other states where they play a lot more football and the kids come in better prepared.  We're probably not going to get a NY guy who is ready to play as a RF, so every NY QB we take is a big gamble, and an implied time commitment to train the guy up.  I'd much rather we look to FL or TX for QB's.
