That's pretty much the biggest fall I could've envisioned. I think the CFP will rank us better. We were the biggest fall, Pitt was the biggest gain.

I'm fine with 19, maybe too much of a drop off but I can't blame them for the overall picture. Top 20 for a 3 loss team, seems reasonable. If we beat BC and win whatever bowl game we go to, we'll move back up somewhere. Top 20 is still far better than I expected this season. Love the progress.

I’m fine with being the lowest ranked 3 loss P5 team. That was an embarrassing performance yesterday, no matter how badly some posters want to prop up ND.

Just beat BC and preserve that ranking going into (hopefully) the Camping World Bowl.

I do think we’re better than some/most of the 3 loss teams, but that ND game hurts perception big time.

NC state is our best win we don’t belong any higher. 10 wins is still reachable. In terms of prepping for BC gettting pounded by a similar yet vastly superior opponent the week before likely helps.

Considering our losses are to #2 Clemson by 4, #24 Pitt (in OT), and yes, a blowout to. #3 ND it’s a pretty big drop. What 3 loss team has an equivalent set of losses.

No, I’m not considering good wins by us vs other teams but I’d of probably put us in the 15-16 range.

19,17,15. Who cares. Still top 20, it’s not the final rankings. Team controls it’s fate in the next two games. We win them out and we’ll be back up in the rankings.

If you told me 8-3 and ranked 19 before the season, I’d be thrilled. Big game next week to get us back on track.

We looked horrible when the eyes of the nation were on us. Doesn’t surprise me we dropped that far. Had we been competitive in the game we probably wouldn’t have dropped that much.

There will be some carnage the last week of the year. Beat BC and we hav the opportunity to move up a few spots and secure being ranked in the last poll of the year, which should translate into a preseason top 25 ranking next year.
