Any news on the impact of the positve tests on the 1st game? Can it be played? With or without coach?

“Syracuse University has entered a “pause” phase for its men’s basketball program, following the news Sunday night that Jim Boeheim and one other person in the program tested positive for Covid-19. What that pause means is not entirely clear right now... Boeheim must isolate from his team for 10 days, then prove he does not have a fever for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine.”

As I interpret the article, it seems possible that the game could go on, assuming that the powers-that-be don’t require players to quarantine for 14 days, and they’re able to resume practices in time. It also possible that Boeheim could be on the bench on the 27th, if he tests negative and didn’t have a fever for 24 hours before game time.

However, if the powers-that-be require players to quarantine for 14 days (or if Bryant backs out), all bets are off.

This was covered in an email from Wildhack. If there are no other positives, the 1st game will be played. If more test positive then that game possibly will be cancelled. JB alone and the 1 other positive at the moment is not cancelling the 1st game.
